Guest Blogger: Living MY Moksha

Happy Monday Friends!

Technical issues in England have given me the chance to Guest Blog from Canada! At first I was hesitant because I didn't think I had anything to write about, but then I remember the Living Your Moksha challenge I am starting tomorrow and thought I would share.

Lately, I have been practicing hot yoga at several Moksha Yoga studios in Canada. It was been a source of happiness, energy, relaxation and strength. My experience has been wonderful - as a beginner the heat (45 degrees celsius) allows my body to experience greater flexibility and in turn I feel more successful in the class.

Many studios offer 30-day challenges, whereby you practice yoga everyday for 30-days. Now, I've not yet been able to participate, but I like the idea. So, when the Living Your Moksha 7-week challenge came to my attention I was totally interested.

The 7-week challenge is aligned with the 7-pillars of Moksha Yoga. Each week you partake in a challenge, related to one of the following pillars:

Be Healthy, Be Accessible, Live Green, Sangha Support, Reach Out, Live to Learn, and Be Peace.

I am especially appreciative that in addition to a weekly newsletter with the weekly challenge, you are encouraged to create your own challenges that suit your life and goals - Living MY Moksha!

As a participant I have paid $10, of which ALL will go towards Free The Children to build SEVEN schools. Amazing!

In anticipation of the month of May, I encourage you to create your own 7-week challenge. Write a goal for each week and keep track of your success!

WW times two! PATRIOTIC WELLIES

OMG stop the presses! These couldn't wait until next Wednesday; thanks L for sending me the Welly Warehouse link it's been a while since I've peeked on there- check out these patriotic babies! Ahhh.. what am I going to do now?!

MY BOYS

WELLY WEDNESDAY

It's been a while since I've done a WW. When I came across this photo I thought it was super cute. I wore my wellies this weekend for the first time in a while and went for a massive long walk in Ashton Court in the rain with the boys; it was bliss but boy did my calves hurt the next day. The one thing that is on my list to get before leaving England is a boot pull and stand and maybe another pair of bright wellies like Laura's .

Don't be sad because it's raining smile because you get to wear your wellies! C xoxo

NOVEL OBSESSION

We bought C The Hunger Games trilogy for Easter. He's really got into them and on the second book which is very impressive for Connor.

I must admit the only hype I had heard about this trilogy was through movie promos until I read TL's blog- Novel Obsession. She not only inspired me to buy the books for Connor but read them myself and read again in general, after a long hiatus of not reading anything other than baby books.  If you are looking for some fresh reading material I really like this blog, she has a great assortment of book reviews.

Steve grabbed the first book out of his room last night and I'm on chapter 4 and easily getting through it while breastfeeding. (Yes, I can finally read a book while I feed Euan)

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie as a family after I'm finished reading it.

THE THOUGHTFUL BREAD COMPANY BAGUETTE

Another great product that derived from our weekend at the Love Food Festival - We met Duncan from The Thoughtful Bread Company and he gave Steve a few tips about the Window Pane effect, as well said to email him with any questions.  We bought the book The Bread Revolution. It was great meeting all the local Somerset talent. I know Husband has been loving getting the time to master his bread skills- At this rate, he may retire next year and become a baker! He also made the Get Out Of Trouble Chocolate Cake over the weekend but I won't tell you what he did. ;) These days I'm pretty busy with my little Euster so I'm glad Husband loves being in the kitchen so much.

Here are some of his other creations over the last few weeks. Enjoy!

ME & V

We've been talking about our move back to Canada a lot this week and one of the things I'm looking forward to most is being close to family and friends. I've missed them lots over the last three years.  xoxo

Love you forever, by Robert Munsch

My husband loves Robert Munch. He was his preschool teacher in Guelph and is a favourite in our family at reading time. We have most of his books which we started to read to Euan while he was still in my tummy. My favourite story is Love you forever. Steve can do a lot of Bob's voices just like this video.... Enjoy, it's a great one!

CANARIES SPRING BREAK

Last week we spent our spring break in the Canary Islands. It was lovely, just what we needed to get through the last bits of rain before the sunny weather arrives in England...

At 6 weeks old Euan took his first ever flight and was a superstar! We were so proud of him. The boys got some nice colour while Euan and I (English Rose) spent our time shaded under the big umbrellas. Euan also took his first dip in the big pool, quite the upgrade from the bath and a little colder too!

This was a family resort: standard food, all-inclusive, packed with kids, outstanding entertainment team- My new life? Yes, for the most part; I'm sure Steve and I will find some time to nip off on a romantic adult location again some day- I hope so anyway!

GET OUT OF TROUBLE CHOCOLATE CAKE

Steve and I went to the Love Food Festival a few weekends back. One of the highlights were running into  The FaBULous Baker Brothers - After we introduced ourselves we picked up Henry & Tom's cookbook. They are handsome and make bread- my two favourite qualities in a man. ;) Steve and I had a chuckle yesterday when he introduced me to this recipe.

Hmm..  I see a quarrel in our future. ha ha!

LAUNDRY

We only went away for a week but this is how many suitcases we must have brought because I've been doing non-stop laundry today! Spain was so warm and lovely and Euan is such a good little traveler- proud Mamma!

I'll post some pictures this weekend. xoxo
