FALL ROUTINE

It has been a while since I've blogged. I have been slowly trying to find my fall routine. I say slowly because I'm not ready for fall. My head is still stuck in summer. I had to wear my fall coat this week on my morning trips to Euan's nursery school, Brrrr.

My son Euan asked if we could go swimming this afternoon. "We could but it would be mighty FRESH" I said. Fresh is our code word for cold. I thought it would be a good idea to make up a code word for cold instead of actually jumping in and yelling it's cold. I didn't want to scare the kids off but they figured it out pretty quick. It was mildly amusing for our family & friends this summer.

Thursdays might just be my favourite day. I went to the gym this morning and dropped the kids off in Good Life's Jump program. I took Gavin's Body Attack Class- it's awesome if you live near the Eagleson Goodlife. I punched and kicked my big heart out! I seem to be getting more and more coordinated with age, or maybe it's confidence. *smile* I wish Gavin taught this class everyday but he told me about a spin class he does on Monday's that I said I would give a try. I told him my idea of biking is slow and steady down the Ottawa Parkway on Sundays on my Italian Mary Poppins bike. I will give spin another try, who knows, maybe it will be my new Monday class.

Here are a few pictures I took the other day. Only four more days of summer folks, enjoy! LLBC xo

MOVE OVER CHEETAH EATAH

Move over Cheetah Eatah (that is me). There is a new super hero in the Gillespie family.

I went to a clothing swap the other night and picked Euan up this super cute superman PJ top. I'm not sure he will ever wear any other PJ's again. I could hardly get it off him to get dressed for school on Monday. He makes a great superman, even has the lingo down he was running all over the house yelling " to the rescue."  I adore this kid!

JACK

Jack, I mean Mary climbed up the bean stock yesterday to pick me a bag full of garden fresh yummy yellow beans. We steamed them up last night for dinner. Mary gave me an awesome idea for next season... buy bean poles and make a teepee structure the beans climb up and the children can play inside. Brilliant idea!

NURSERY SCHOOL

Today was Euan`s first day back at nursery school. He was very excited to go, not a single tear which is the exact opposite of last year. His teacher said he was so precious and very polite. Our little bug is growing up. We are so proud of him.

FINISH FIVE

I was tagged by Sandy Lee Style to write a Finish 5 by Fall list.

So here are my five.

1. Half my closet. I hoard way too many clothes. I cleaned my closet last weekend and told Husband a story about each item. ie. The first time I met your Mother I was wearing this blouse. I wore these jeans on our first date, This was the dress I was wearing when I died my hair green in NYC the night before we boarded the QM2. Is this normal? or do I have super powers?

2. Reading the stack of books I have on my bedside table. I need to unplug. I spend way too much time online from 7 to 10pm at night.

3. Give up the horrible habit we`ve gotten into of having ice cream every evening. I`m giving up dessert by Fall. Geez how many days do I have left?

4. Volunteer.

5. Meal plan including two to three vegetarian dishes a week.

Now, It`s your turn. I tag you to make your own Finish 5 by Fall list.

TATS

I was watching Bachelor in Paradise and saw a few of the girls wearing these temporary foil beach tattoos. I think they are amazing. After doing some looking around I like these ones best. I enjoyed perusing through this FB page too, which is where I got the below picture.  These are going to be such a treat for our next beach holiday!
