We had a brilliant night out with Long John and the rest of the Treasure Island cast last night at Bristol's Old Vic open air theater.
C loved it, just as I thought he might. I purchased the tickets for a steal at £7 pounds, we were side stage and that was fine for us.
A great play with plenty of pirate jargon!
Davy Jones' Locker: The bottom of o the sea, where the souls of dead men lie.
Fiddlers Green: The private heaven where pirates be goin' when they die.
Landlubber: Land-lover, someone not used to life on board a ship.
Me hearty: A friend or shipmate.
Scurvy Dog: A fine insult.
Scallyway: A bad person or scoundrel.
Thar: The opposite of "here"
Yo-ho-ho: Pirate laughter!
