WINTER WONDERLAND AT THE MALL

Last year I won tickets to go skating at Cribbs Causeway.  Not only do they have a beautiful skating rink set up in front of the mall but they also have Santa's Magical Castle and and some beautiful market stalls selling everything from gloves to Gluhwein.

I had Gluhwien for the first time about 4 years ago at my friend Gillian's Christmas Party. I thought it was horrible and made from Potpourri. I've since called it Potpourri wine. After spending time at the European Christmas Markets this winter I have figured out that Gluhwein is the same as Mulled wine which is what I call Potpourri wine... ;) and that I enjoy it now. When you buy it at the Christmas markets you actually put a deposit on the mug, great way to get the tourist to take home a memento and charge a fortune for a warm drink. I came home with a few mugs. ;)

Last night we past our local pub after a refreshing evening walk and I noticed they had huge soup urns filled with the tasty Gluewein but resisted going in. "Jayne bring your mug to the gym, we can stop for some on the way home!" It's just that kind of week. xoxo
