A WEDNESDAY WEDDING

Although most weddings now take place on a Saturday it was considered unlucky in the past. It took a few weeks to choose a day but we picked Wednesday, the best day of all....

Choosing the day....

Monday for wealth
Tuesday for health
Wednesday the best day of all
Thursday for losses
Friday for crosses
Saturday for no luck at all

These Monogrammed button flip flops are super cute & an awesome gift for bride, bridesmaid, flower girl and mother of the bride and groom! Prodigy

Lillian had this posted on her Facebook and I had to share. A 6th grader from Edmonton just brought me to tears. Lil was correct in saying he was inspiring. I wonder if he's available for weddings ;)

Tailor Made Stag & Hen Nights

It is time for the planning of our Stag & Hen night and these websites I found are awesome! In England tailor made Stag & Hen nights are a big business.  You can jet set off to other countries like Spain, Portugal, Amsterdam or stay closer to home for a proper night out. It has a very "go big or go home" feel to it and I love it. I am looking forward to a great holiday with my friends and I cannot wait to see what Steve and his mates will come up with.

I HEART FLOWERS

I met with my florist Lisa this week and she is great. I really did not know what to expect and how many flowers would be required for the wedding.  I am feeling inspired again and running with it. It is funny how one little suggestion can send your mind on a journey. I walked home from the flower shop looking at every tree and flower.  It is rare that I do this...  I rush past almost every day to get the things I need without noticing the true beauty of Clifton.  www.lisaelliottfloraldesign.co.uk/ Loving life being Christy xo

Wedding Day Dance UK

We are booked and will be having our first lesson as early as next week at our home. Come on feet/brain don't fail me now. I know it wasn't easy to find a good dance instructor. This company will send a teacher to your home or book a studio so I wanted to share our (Steve's) find.

105 DAYS

Oh my... I am getting married in 105 days and starting to freak out about the things, I've not done. This is normal, right?  Vanessa bought me this book called Real Simple Weddings a guide to planning a beautiful (and stress free) celebration. It may be time to have a look through it again and calm myself down.

The website weddingwire.com has been very helpful along with thousands (and I am not joking) of wedding blogs. Most of my fantastic ideas have come from these 3 things.

I am going to miss wedding planning and now I know why brides continue wedding blogs after the event. You become obsessed with the inspiring beauty of it all. When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. Being so far away from home and away from my genius bridesmaids, did not help my fear of planning. Now I feel I have become an expert planner in many areas. Hardy, har, har and yet still no idea what my next job is in making our day wonderful. I am not a hugely organised person but seem to catch up on my procrastination in waves.

I have written about my fear of "the dance" and my lack of an instructor in a previous blog....   Steve has found us a private dance teacher and although expensive, I am hoping she can make some miracle happen for my feet and put a dent in my ridiculous sense of rhythm. Goodness me, 105 days to learn to dance... less actually...Wish me luck!

A Bit Of History

If you are looking for something  to add something special to your wedding invitations, I've found Ceramic Mini Seals. An individual way to seal your invites.

We are still stuffing all the invites and getting them ready to be sealed. Can't wait to send them out!

You can add a personal flair to notes, letters or cards. I bought it at my local stationary store. The lady was really helpful and said it wasn't hard to do.

Wish me luck!
