Fell in love, moved back to England for three years, started blogging about my time here which includes my fairytale wedding, plenty of travel, starting a family and other little bits and bobs. Life isn't always perfect but I sure have a lust for it and I am blessed to have found an amazing best friend and husband to share the bumps with. This is my awesome adventure called life and I am loving it.

TEA CUP INSPIRED
I was looking for inspiration for a costume to wear to Beauty And The Beast tonight and found some great tea cup images. This beautiful miniature tea cup ring can be found on etsy and it is a bargain! Possibly a belated birthday present to myself. The Christian Dior Haute Couture tea cup wedding dresses. *gush*

I love the tea cup hat it's perfect if only I had more time but a great idea for next year. |
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
“Once upon a time there lived a young Prince who had everything his heart desired, but was spoilt and selfish.”So selfish that, when he refuses an old beggar woman shelter in his castle in exchange for a beautiful red rose, he is turned into a Beast. We know what the outcome will be, we know the moral of the story that Beauty is in the soul and always more than skin deep...
We are going to BLOC Productions Beauty And The Beast tonight at the Hippodrome. This is one of my all time favorites and I'm looking forward to seeing it with Steve and Connor tonight.
I finally got a chance to make my centerpiece for the table. I used the vine grapes and leaves from the garden. The only thing to add now is some Conkers... We spent this beautiful fall morning at Woody's Farm Shop and picked out some pumpkins to carve in a few week & of course gave some attention to the farm animals. xoxox
I explained to Steve tonight again about my dream of owning this Pashley Princess Classic. No, I won't be able to ride it in Bristol (too many hills) & it would most likely sit in the office but once in a while we could go on romantic picnics and this would be the perfect bike for that. We went to Mud Docks bike shop and spoke to the manager about this beautiful bike retailing at £595.00 The manager agreed with me when I mentioned it was the "mini cooper" of the bike world. I think this bike may be worth walking up the hills of Bristol... ;) I really want my Canadian Girl in Europe moment and this bike just may do it. Steve's answer to this: do you think we may be able to rent it? Hmmmm....The quintessential English town and country bicycle!
Hmm... I wonder if I can find a last minute Tea Cup costume?!

NICE & MONACO
Last year around this time we spent in Nice & Monaco one of my favorite holidays so far since moving back to England. In Nice we stayed at Le Meridian on The Promenade Des Anglais. It's a beautiful hotel with a rooftop restaurant and pool. We took the bus tour and stopped at the Chagall Museum, walked along the Promenade Des Anglais, swam in the Med & had some great wine, bread & olives. In Monaco we stayed at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo which also has a beautiful luxury roof-top pool. Our room was located on the famous hairpin turn of their Grand Prix. The aquarium in Monte Carlo is great and has a lovely roof-top restaurant to enjoy before or after admission. We saw the changing of the guards at the Palace Princier de Monaco and Princess Grace gardens which has over 100 species of cactus. Steve & I found some great restaurants and he was able to practice his French! I loved that everyone was still enjoying the water in October, swimming seems to be very popular with the locals. We often saw people show up with a loaf of crusty french bread for their after swim snack!
THE SOCIAL NETWORK
I went to see the film The Social Network.I liked it... A strange feeling came over me as I was on my way out of the theater, logging into Facebook to post my thoughts on the movie. I wonder if anyone else will have the same reaction. A very 1984 moment.

GIN AND TONIC PLEASE
We were invited to a cocktail party at The Museum Of Bath At Work. I love a chance to get dressed up but some cocktail parties can be very boring. We were lucky enough to chat to some very fun people and listen to The Bath Big Band, we ended up staying until the end. I was feeling hungry on the way home and I suggested a McDonalds night cap, before catching the train back to Bristol. The two of us sitting in McDonalds "dressed to the nines" and enjoying our Quarter Pounder's... It was a perfect moment & boy, does my husband looks sweet in a tux.

APPLEHEAD
Applehead Studio Photography keeps showing up all over the place. It has to be, one of the most popular agencies in Halifax, N.S....
I've known a few people who have used Applehead and I think his work is amazing. My friends Anita & Josh are getting married in 4 months and just had their engagement photo shoot done. I love the it! I hope they bring this genius to their destination wedding in Mexico. If not they can always choose to do his very popular "Trash The Dress" shoot but, I am not sure if Anita will be willing to do this, since she has hunted high and low for the perfect dress.

THE LAKE DISTRICT
I followed my husband to Barrow-In-Furness on business. We stayed at the Fairway Hotel which has a driving range and golf course next to it. I spent the mornings at the driving range getting reacquainted with my swing, what a great form of exercise. I am feeling muscles I have not used in a very long time. On Thursday Steve was off early and I convinced him to come have a go, we both had a great time and lots of laughs. It was another great week in Barrow. I had dinner with the gang, lunch with the girls and got an incredible facial at Boss. I also took a chance and had my hair foiled at the Priory, it turned out great, phew!. The lake District is breathtaking I would love to have a little caravan parked right in the middle for fun weekends away in the North. xoxo
