I can't wait to be a bride, see my family and friends & marry my love....
Fell in love, moved back to England for three years, started blogging about my time here which includes my fairytale wedding, plenty of travel, starting a family and other little bits and bobs. Life isn't always perfect but I sure have a lust for it and I am blessed to have found an amazing best friend and husband to share the bumps with. This is my awesome adventure called life and I am loving it.

ONE EXTRA DAY
We have one extra day before I have to jump back on the wedding planning bus. It's a long weekend in England and we are heading out for a bike ride along the Avon Gorge.(can't wait) I've been waiting to bike this trail since I moved to Bristol. But come tomorrow I will be back to wedding planning. I still have to order my cake, inquire about fireworks, book our honeymoon; find a car, book Lisa speaking of the florist, I was very impressed with the final price and service and am so glad I went to a professional. I read about buying flowers from a market the day of and had thought about doing this until I met with Lisa. She is talented and gave me some good ideas. So before you do anything please meet with a florist or in my case five before decisions are made. Tomorrow will be the day to catch up on all of the things I should have been doing while on vacation. I'm very lucky that the groom is very involved. He has booked our dance lessons, ,taken care of the registry, booked the DJ, talked to the wedding planner and organized the food with them. He's been amazing throughout and especially while I was away. Thanks Steve!

GOODBYE HALIFAX
Thank you Bridesmaids for throwing me an awesome shower and hen night. Oh the laughs... It was so great of Heather to join us all the way from Victoria and Lynn to come from Toronto. I was spoiled and felt very special so thank you, thank you, thank you.... pictures to come. It was so great to catch up with friends and meet new additions to their families.
Last night Vanessa and I sat in Victoria Park for the last time and talked about old times. She will be moving to Calgary next week and I wish her luck in her new adventure.
Today is my last day in Halifax and I started the day with a stroll through Public Gardens, a beautiful park in the heart of the city. I really miss living here, the people, the parks, Pete's salads, the eggs benny, the patios, the weather & the smell!

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
Nova Scotia Delights... Rhubarb, Harris, TL & Van, Henry House, Wintersleep & Jayne's On The Common eggs benny!
A CUPCAKE FOR BREAKFAST
I had a scrumptious chocolate cupcake for breakfast. Taralee made cupcakes last night and iced one with fresh butter cream icing for me this morning. Vanessa will be up soon for hers & then off for a run to Point Pleasant Park. The jet lag is still in effect I can't seem to stay up past 9 o'clock and then up at 5:30am I'm hoping a nap today will allow me to stay up for the beginning of the festivities tonight.

A WEDNESDAY WEDDING
Although most weddings now take place on a Saturday it was considered unlucky in the past. It took a few weeks to choose a day but we picked Wednesday, the best day of all....
Choosing the day....
Monday for wealth
Tuesday for health
Wednesday the best day of all
Thursday for losses
Friday for crosses
Saturday for no luck at all

Tailor Made Stag & Hen Nights
It is time for the planning of our Stag & Hen night and these websites I found are awesome! In England tailor made Stag & Hen nights are a big business. You can jet set off to other countries like Spain, Portugal, Amsterdam or stay closer to home for a proper night out. It has a very "go big or go home" feel to it and I love it. I am looking forward to a great holiday with my friends and I cannot wait to see what Steve and his mates will come up with.

I HEART FLOWERS
I met with my florist Lisa this week and she is great. I really did not know what to expect and how many flowers would be required for the wedding. I am feeling inspired again and running with it. It is funny how one little suggestion can send your mind on a journey. I walked home from the flower shop looking at every tree and flower. It is rare that I do this... I rush past almost every day to get the things I need without noticing the true beauty of Clifton. www.lisaelliottfloraldesign.co.uk/ Loving life being Christy xo

Wedding Day Dance UK
We are booked and will be having our first lesson as early as next week at our home. Come on feet/brain don't fail me now. I know it wasn't easy to find a good dance instructor. This company will send a teacher to your home or book a studio so I wanted to share our (Steve's) find.

105 DAYS
Oh my... I am getting married in 105 days and starting to freak out about the things, I've not done. This is normal, right? Vanessa bought me this book called Real Simple Weddings a guide to planning a beautiful (and stress free) celebration. It may be time to have a look through it again and calm myself down.
The website weddingwire.com has been very helpful along with thousands (and I am not joking) of wedding blogs. Most of my fantastic ideas have come from these 3 things.
I am going to miss wedding planning and now I know why brides continue wedding blogs after the event. You become obsessed with the inspiring beauty of it all. When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. Being so far away from home and away from my genius bridesmaids, did not help my fear of planning. Now I feel I have become an expert planner in many areas. Hardy, har, har and yet still no idea what my next job is in making our day wonderful. I am not a hugely organised person but seem to catch up on my procrastination in waves.
I have written about my fear of "the dance" and my lack of an instructor in a previous blog.... Steve has found us a private dance teacher and although expensive, I am hoping she can make some miracle happen for my feet and put a dent in my ridiculous sense of rhythm. Goodness me, 105 days to learn to dance... less actually...Wish me luck!

A Bit Of History
If you are looking for something to add something special to your wedding invitations, I've found Ceramic Mini Seals. An individual way to seal your invites.
We are still stuffing all the invites and getting them ready to be sealed. Can't wait to send them out!
You can add a personal flair to notes, letters or cards. I bought it at my local stationary store. The lady was really helpful and said it wasn't hard to do.
Wish me luck!
